Located in The Springs, the Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center is a National Historic Landmark, once the home and studio of iconic artists Jackson Pollock and Lee Krasner. This beautifully preserved space invites visitors to step into the intimate world of the artists, exploring both their personal histories and new exhibitions that bridge the past with contemporary artistic expressions.

More than just a museum, the Pollock-Krasner House is a living testament to the creative process. It was here, in this dynamic space, that Pollock and Krasner not only created but lived—engaging in constant dialogue and experimentation. The house and studio became extensions of their artistic identities, where daily life and creative exploration intertwined.

In reimagining the brand for this landmark, we sought to strike a delicate balance. The design had to reflect the quiet simplicity of the historic home and the tranquil setting of a small town, while also capturing the intellectual rigor of the art world in which Pollock and Krasner thrived. The result is a brand that honors both the intimate nature of the space and its place in the broader narrative of art history.

During the years in which Jackson Pollock worked in the barn studio, he painted with his canvases on the floor. After his death, Lee Krasner took over and painted with her canvases on the walls. Today, the studio still holds the traces of their iconic gestures.

The dash between P-K transforms into both a physical and metaphorical division and connector between the floor and the wall, between the works of two distinct artists, and between Pollock and Krasner as individuals and as a couple.
